The Shepherd's Hut and Meadow sits on a private estate nestled between Windsor Great Park and Sir Elton John's Woodside Estate. Relax in the double hammock or enjoy a barbecue while sitting on one of the private decks and basking in the glow of golden hour. Take a stroll down winding paths in the five acre meadow alongside you, and stumble upon the truly magnificent view of Windsor Castle proudly poised on the horizon.

Closest train stations: Egham - 8 min drive. Windsor & Eton Riverside - 9 min drive. Slough - 17 min drive.
The number 8 bus connects the local village of Old Windsor with Windsor, Slough and surrounding towns. Reaching the bus stop outside Toby Carvery in Old Windsor takes 20-30 minutes on foot down a lightly steep hill. We recommend having access to a car where possible for your trip. For short trips down the road to Old Windsor or different entrances to Windsor Great Park we are often happy to offer guests a lift, and have 2 bikes for free hire.
Uber and Bolt are available in this area, as well as lots of local taxi companies.

The Shepherd's Hut is the perfect getaway for nature lovers. It's the best place at Little Dower House to spot wild deer, small mammals and a wide variety of bird species. You may spot our resident Barn Owl, especially on Winter and Spring evenings.
